Holding First Graduation in 2024, Udayana University Releases 850 Graduates at its 158th Graduation

Udayana University (Unud) held its 158th Graduation Ceremony in early 2024 at the Widya Sabha Auditorium Unud Bukit Jimbaran, Saturday (17/2/23). A total of 850 graduates were released directly by the Rector of Udayana University, Prof. Ir. Ngakan Putu Gede Suardana, M.T., Ph.D., IPU.

In its report, the number of graduates released consisted of 26 Doctors (S3), 60 Masters (S2), 62 specialists, 147 professionals, and 555 graduates (S1). The graduates this time were dominated by men, numbering 427 people, while the number of female graduates was 423 people. In terms of academic achievement, the GPA of female graduates is better than that of male graduates, namely the average GPA for women is 3.77 while the average GPA for men is 3.76. The average study period for women is 7.3 semesters, while for men the study period is 6.7 semesters.

The best graduate of each program level, namely from the Doctoral Program, was achieved by Dr. Ir. Ar. I Made Dwipa Arta, ST, MT., IPU., ASEAN Eng from the Engineering Science Doctoral Study Program with GPA: 3.75 (Very Satisfactory). The Masters program was achieved by Aghnia Yuniarto Putri, S.Hum, M.Par., from the Tourism Masters Study Program with a GPA: 4.00 (With Honors). Meanwhile, from the Undergraduate Program, I Gede Aswin Parisya Sasmana, S.Ked., from the Undergraduate Medicine Study Program achieved GPA: 4.00 (With Commendations). With the release of 850 graduates, to date Unud has a total number of alumni of 120,979 people.

Rector of Unud, Prof. Ir. Ngakan Putu Gede Suardana, M.T., Ph.D., IPU., congratulated all the graduates on their hard work and success. With the increase in the number of graduates at Udayana University, we hope to be able to contribute to provide benefits in efforts to make the nation's life more intelligent and prosperous. The Rector also expressed his pride in the achievements and perseverance of the graduates in overcoming all the obstacles that came their way during their education.

This graduation ceremony is the last academic event that is followed in pursuing a level of education at university. Graduation is a form of confirmation that you have completed your education at a certain level. This is a form of Udayana University's responsibility to the Indonesian nation and state, especially in preparing quality and competitive human resources in the current global era.

Apart from that, the Rector also advised all graduates that graduation and the degree you have achieved is not the end of everything but is the beginning of a new challenge in your life. Keep studying, work smartly and sincerely, and maintain the good name of your alma mater. Hopefully the knowledge that has been obtained can be implemented well for the progress of society, nation and state. Graduates still have the right to actively participate in the development of Udayana University through the official IKAYANA platform.

IKAYANA also functions as a media or facilitator for fresh graduates or recent graduates from Udayana University for work matters or advanced study purposes. Thus, do not assume that this graduation moment is the end of the moral bond between you and your alma mater. Apart from that, graduates are asked to participate in filling out the online questionnaire instrument in carrying out the tracer study. Based on the data collected in the tracer study, information can be obtained regarding important matters which will be related to efforts to improve and develop the quality of education at Udayana University.
