Udayana University Signs MOU with PT. Pegadaian
Udayana University signed a MOU (Memorandum of Understanding) with PT. Pegadaian (Persero) and several other partners on Thursday (01/16/2020) at Prime Plaza Hotel, Sanur. The signing of the MOU was conducted with 34 partners with the aim of building synergies, building people's welfare and taking positions in increasing efforts to realize SDGs that have been determined by presidential regulations.
Sayu Ketut Sutrisna Dewi, SE., MM., Ak, as Chair of the LPPM Business Incubator at Udayana University, revealed that there are several fields that are the focus of cooperation between Udayana University and PT. Pegadaian (Persero), "Related to the fields that we collaborate with, there are several literacy fields of education related to finance to students and lecturers and employees, social activities and investment fields". He also added that currently various kinds of financial products need to be updated in the higher education environment related to financial digitalization. In addition, this MOU is also related to CSR funds prepared by PT. Pegadaian for social activities that can be utilized by Udayana University and the MOU also offer cooperation in the field of investment which will be associated with improving the performance of Udayana University.
According to the Vice Chancellor for Planning, Cooperation and Information, Prof. Dr. Ida Bagus Wyasa Putra, SH., M.Hum, "In this collaboration, the normal duration is 3 years." He also added that later this MOU would be followed up with a cooperation agreement and the duration depends on the object of the agreement and hoped that through this collaboration in the future students would not only gain educational experience in class but could also gain practical experience in various business units developed by PT.
