Introduce Creative Works to Young Generation through Fruit and Vegetable Carving Competition

Denpasar, (24/18) The DIV Tourism’s Student Association held a competition entitled "Shine of Bali" Fruit and Vegetable Carving Competition with the aim of vocational students from all over Bali, they are active students and present with 5 participant representatives.


"This competition aims to introduce the faculty of tourism to society, and as a media for students to improve their creativity in the fruit carving art," explained I Gede Artha Suartama as Chair of the Committee.


The display in this activity is in the form of carving fruits and vegetables which are displayed in 3-dimensional form. The assessment criteria were about creativity and innovation from participants, techniques and the level of complexity, harmony in appearance, cleanliness and neatness and the description of the work.


According to Gede Artha, he hopes that vocational students can improve their skills, ideas and creativity, and prepare themselves to keep up with competition in the world of tourism. In the competition that took place at the Faculty of Tourism, Sudirman Campus, there were the winners of the Fruit and Vegetable Carving Competition, namely Vocational High School 1 Tampak Siring as the champion, Triatmajaya Tabanan Vocational School as second winner and SMK N 5 PGRI Denpasar as third winner.
