Rector of Unud Submit Udayana University Aid Care for Palu and Donggala Disaster Victims

Jimbaran - Rector of Unud, Prof. Dr. dr. A.A Raka Sudewi, Sp.S (K) accompanied by the Chairperson of the LPPM handed over assistance from the academic community of Udayana University to the victims of the earthquake and tsunami in Central Sulawesi. Assistance in the form of Rp. 205,862,000, medicines and appropriate clothing are distributed through the Ministry of Research, Technology and Higher Education, Tadulako University and PHDI Central Sulawesi. The assistance that will be channeled through the PHDI of Central Sulawesi is received by the PHDI Representative namely Prof. Dr. Ir. I Wayan Sutapa, M.Eng.

Rector of Unud, Prof. Dr. dr. A.A Raka Sudewi, Sp.S (K) said that this was a manifestation of the concern of the academics for the earthquake in Palu and Donggala, through donations in the form of money, clothing, medicines. In addition, several aid kits such as sticks and tents have been taken by Unud volunteers who settled there for a week. Unud also provides a place for Tadulako University students who have not been able to attend lectures by following the seat in program (temporary study) at Udayana University.

PHDI Representative of Central Sulawesi, Prof. Dr. Ir. I Wayan Sutapa, M.Eng, who is also a lecturer at Tadulako University, said that this assistance will be channeled to the people of Palu and Donggala for the earthquake and tsunami disaster on 28 September. Prof. I Wayan Sutapa also expressed his gratitude for the assistance provided by Udayana University and will use the assistance provided to help the victims of the disaster in Palu and Donggala. (HM)
