Minister for Development of Disadvantaged Regions and Transmigration of RI Opened Seminar Bhakti Desa III in Udayana University
Bukit Jimbaran - Udayana University through Institute of Research and Community Service (LPPM) held a Seminar Bakti Desa (SBD) III, on Friday (22/09/2017) at Auditorium Building Widya Sabha Campus Bukit Jimbaran. SBD seminar at this time took the theme "Together with Udayana University Build The Village Through Community Empowerment for Prosperity and Integrity of NKRI". The seminar was attended by Village Ministers, Minister for Development of Disadvantaged Regions and Transmigration of RI, Governor of Bali, Regional Leadership Communication Forum, Head of Villages and Bendesa Adat throughout Bali as well as representatives of Udayana University lecturers and students.
The seminar was intended to facilitate communication between the Central Government and the Head of Villages as a village fund user to improve transparent and accountable governance in accordance with prevailing laws and regulations covering policies, budgeting schemes, supervision and governance. The seminar presented a resource person from the Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Indonesia, namely the Directorate General of Fiscal Balance which is expected to give an explanation on the use of funds and village financial management to be transparent and in accordance with the needs of the Village. Other speakers were the Director of Research and Development KPK and the ICW (Indonesian Corruption Watch) Coordinator who provided explanations and supervision on the management of village funds in order to prevent the occurrence of irregularities.

Rector of Unud, Prof. Dr. dr. A A. Raka Sudewi, Sp.S (K) in her speech conveyed the background of the seminar is a concrete manifestation of Tri Dharma Perguruan Tinggi, the Service to the Community, in this case Unud also has a role in supporting the acceleration of national development to finish poverty. Through the seminar is expected to provide explanations to village officials in the use of village funds to be able to mobilize village resources to build the independence of the nation through the development of the village so that it leads to the welfare of people throughout the Unitary State of the Republic of Indonesia.

The Governor of Bali, Made Mangku Pastika on this occasion expressed his appreciation to the Minister for Development of Disadvantaged Regions and Transmigration of RI which was pleased to give exposure and motivation to all Head of Villages who have presented in establishing commitment to build the village. The Governor welcomes and supports the implementation of the seminar as an effort to unite the steps and thoughts to face the dynamics of governance, development and society, especially to strengthen the implementation of the third agenda of Nawacita, to build Indonesia from the edge by strengthening the regions and villages within the framework of development. The presence of the Minister is expected to motivate all village units in their commitment to build the village and understand the substance of the existing policy and Unud is expected to guard the development of the existing village in Bali.

Minister for Development of Disadvantaged Regions and Transmigration of RI, Eko Putro Sandjojo on behalf of President RI officially opened the seminar. Eko Putro Sandjojo said that the seminar was a good initiative from Udayana University to discuss the problems that still exist in the distribution of village funds and village development to be improved together. Bali includes provinces where the absorption of village funds is almost 100%. Bali is exemplary because last year there were no more villages left behind. The Minister hopes the results of the seminar can be disseminated to all villages in Indonesia as a reference and learning materials from the success of the villages in Bali. (PR)
