INITIATION OF COOPERATION AND GUEST LECTURE BY PROFESSOR OF PUKYONG NATIONAL UNIVERSITY, SOUTH KOREA

The Faculty of Marine Science and Fisheries (FKP) Udayana University as the youngest faculty in Udayana University continues to increase foreign cooperation in an effort to improve the quality of academic faculty. In Early of March 2017, two professors from Pukyong National University South Korea came to FKP. They intend to establish cooperation with FKP in academic and research areas. As a first step, they gave a guest lecture to the students FKP on March 1st , 2017 at the Library Lounge 3rd Floor of Udayana University. The topic raised in the guest lecture is Application of Fermentation Technology for Developing Seaweed Processing Products by Prof. Kim Young Mog and Applications of Next Generation Sequencing (NGS) technology to understand Marine Ecosystem by Prof. Kim Hyun Woo. The guest lecture took the time approximately 3 hours and students were very active during the discussion so it impressed both of professors. Dean FKP who participated in guest lecture was also proud to see students FKP active in the discussion using the English language. It hoped with this cooperation can be established and can provide benefits to FKP Udayana University in particular and in general..(FKP/PR)
