Prayers for the Holy Day of Saraswati at Udayana University are centered at the Widya Maha Amrta Temple, Sudirman Campus

Denpasar - Udayana University (Unud) held a joint prayer in celebration of the Saraswati Holy Day which was centered at the Widya Maha Amrta Temple, Sudirman Campus, Denpasar, Saturday (8/2/2025). This prayer service was attended by the Rector, Vice Rectors, Faculty Leaders and other leaders, lecturers, staff and students and led by Jero Mangku Pura. In celebration of Saraswati Day this time the Rejang Dance was also performed.

The Saraswati Holy Day celebration is held by Hindus every 210 days, namely every Saniscara Umanis Wuku Watugunung. Saraswati Day is often referred to as the day of the decline of knowledge, where the Goddess Saraswati herself in Hindu mythology is the magic of the God Brahma who is embodied in a beautiful woman with four arms holding attributes such as lontar, genitri, wina and damaru.

Through the celebration of the Holy Day of Saraswati, it is hoped that people will gain knowledge and wisdom as a guide towards serenity and peace.
