The Farewell and Introduction of the Director of TCI, Faculty of Tourism, Udayana University, Took Place Wisely
Jimbaran – The Faculty of Tourism, Udayana University (Unud) held a farewell event for the Director of Indonesia and the Director of the China Tourism Confucius Institute (TCI), as well as the introduction of the new director on Monday (20 January 2025). This event was warm and attended by the Rector of Udayana University, Prof. I Ketut Sudarsana, Ph.D., Vice Rector for Planning, Cooperation and Information, Prof. I Putu Gede Adiatmika, as well as the leadership of the Faculty of Tourism.
In this activity, the Indonesian Director and the old Chinese Director of TCI, Dr. I Made Sendra and Prof. Tao expressed his appreciation to Udayana University for the support provided during their leadership period.
The next session was filled with introductions to the new Indonesian Director and Chinese Director. In his speech, the new Director Mr. Lui Kemin and Dr. I Gusti Ngurah Widyatmaja expressed his commitment to continuing the successes that have been achieved, as well as initiating new innovations in TCI programs.
In his remarks, the Rector of Udayana University expressed his deep appreciation to the former Indonesian Director and Chinese Director of TCI for their dedication and contribution in advancing TCI programs, especially in building cultural and educational bridges between Indonesia and China. He highlighted various important achievements that had been achieved during their leadership, including strengthening academic cooperation, promoting cultural tourism, and developing human resources.
He also hopes that in the future, TCI at Udayana University will continue to play an important role in supporting Udayana University's aspirations to become a world-class university.
This farewell event marks a harmonious transition as well as being a momentum to strengthen our shared commitment to supporting TCI as a forum for international collaboration, especially with China in the fields of tourism and culture.
