Taking Oath of 176 PPPK, Rector of Udayana University Expects Integrity, Responsibility and Dedication in Carrying Out Duties

Denpasar - A total of 176 Government Employees with Work Agreements (PPPK) at Udayana University (Unud) took part in the oath/promise taking ceremony at the Nusantara Room, Agrokompleks Building, Sudirman Campus, Thursday (19/12/2024). Before the event, a Majaya Jaya ceremony was held for the PPPK with Hindu Religion at the Widya Maha Amrta Temple, Sudirman Campus.

At this oath/promise taking event, the PPPKs were accompanied by clergy according to their respective religions, which was followed by symbolic signing of the minutes. The oath taking was carried out directly by the Rector of Unud Prof. I Ketut Sudarsana and attended by leaders within Unud.

Rector of Unud Prof. I Ketut Sudarsana in his speech said that today, we have witnessed an important moment, namely the inauguration and appointment of the oath/promise to the position of a Government Employee with a Work Agreement. Referring to State Civil Service Agency Regulation Number 18 of 2020, amendments to State Civil Service Agency Regulation Number 1 of 2019 concerning Technical Instructions for Procurement of Government Employees with Work Agreements (PPPK) in article 31 states that every PPPK candidate when appointed to a functional position must be inaugurated and take the oath of office.

As well as State Civil Service Agency Regulation Number 5 of 2023 in article 5, it is stated that the payment of functional allowances for PPPK who are appointed to carry out functional office duties must attach the minutes of taking the oath of office.

In line with changing times which are in line with institutional needs and to improve the quality and quantity of academic services, the Rector said that PPPK are employees who are appointed based on a work agreement for a certain period of time and the work agreement can be extended if the performance evaluation is positive.

"Therefore, we hope that integrity, responsibility and dedication in carrying out their duties can always be in accordance with the mandate that has been entrusted and the applicable laws and regulations," said the Rector of Unud.
