Udayana University Collaborates with the Timor Leste Ministry of Defense to Hold a Professional Public Speaking Workshop

Vice Rector for Planning, Cooperation and Information at Udayana University (Unud) Prof. I Putu Gede Adiatmika, opened and gave a speech at the Professional Public Speaking Workshop which was an implementation of collaboration between Udayana University and the Ministry of Defense of Timor Leste, taking place at Harris Kuta Galeria Badung on Monday (30/9/2024).

Director of the Business Management Agency (BPU), Dr. Sayu Ketut Sutrisna Dewi, S.E., M.M., Ak, as the Chief Executive of the Activity said that this training aims to provide public speaking and quality management training to improve public speaking and quality management skills.

Vice Rector, Prof. I Putu Gede Adiatmika in his speech said that through this activity Udayana University demonstrated its commitment to strengthening international relations by facilitating Professional Public Speaking Workshop activities aimed at participants from the Timor Leste Ministry of Defense. This workshop is a follow-up to the cooperation that has existed between the two parties, aimed at improving public communication competence within the ministry. 

He also hopes that this workshop can strengthen relations between the two countries and improve the quality of human resources in the defense sector. This collaboration is also concrete evidence of Udayana University's contribution in supporting the capacity development of neighboring countries through education and training programs.

This activity consists of 4 batches with different topics in each batch including Public Speaking, Quality Management, Women Empowerment, and Public Services which will last until October 27th.

This first batch was held from September 30 to October 5 by presenting resource persons who were professionals in their fields, including Dr. Made Dwi Setyadhi Mustika, S.E., M.Si, who will present material on the topic The Power of Public Speaking, Putu Ayu Asty Senja Pratiwi, S.S., M.Hum., PhD who will present the topic about Public Speaking Preparation, Putu Suprapti Santy Sastra, S.H., CHT, CI who delivered material about Effective Communication, Ns. Nyoman Agus Jagat Raya, S.Kep., MNS delivered material about Technical stage management and Dr. Sayu Ketut Sutrisna Dewi, S.E., M.M., Ak who delivered the topic about Public speaking exercise.
