Lecturer at the Faculty of Engineering, Udayana University, Becomes Speaker at the National Cyber ​​Exercise (NCE) of the National Cyber ​​and Crypto Agency (BSSN) 2024

The National Cyber ​​and Crypto Agency (BSSN) is an institution of the Government of the Republic of Indonesia which is responsible for implementing cyber and password security effectively and efficiently by utilizing, developing and consolidating all elements related to cyber and password security. The National Cyber ​​and Crypto Agency (BSSN) initiated activities to develop cyber security capacity in handling cyber incidents through the 2024 National Cyber ​​Exercise (NCE), which was held on 9-12 September 2024, attended by all public sector and private sector stakeholders.

For this reason, the National Cyber ​​and Crypto Agency (BSSN) invited I Putu Agus Eka Pratama, ST., MT., permanent lecturer at the Faculty of Engineering, Udayana University (Unud) who is an expert in the field of Information Technology, especially in the field of Cyber ​​Security, as a speaker for provide materials and training regarding cyber security to participants. As moderator for this event was Ryan Martin Hidayat from the National Cyber ​​and Crypto Agency (BSSN).

I Putu Agus Eka Pratama, ST., MT., presented a presentation entitled Case Study and Incident Response Strategy: Advanced Persistent Threat (APT), based on the increasing number of APT attacks throughout the world, including in Indonesia. The material presented includes: threats to data security, introduction to APT, impacts caused by APT attacks, examples of case studies of APT attacks that have occurred in the world including in Indonesia, how to carry out early detection and response to APT attacks (along with tools and best tactics) , prevention and protection strategies, and ends with a demo of OSINT and Metaexploit-based APT attacks on the Linux operating system.

After delivering the material and demo, a discussion and question and answer session was held between the presenters and the participants. The questions asked by the participants were mostly related to case studies, problems and challenges experienced by the participants related to the cyber security threats they faced. Finally, a group photo session was held with all participants and souvenirs were handed over from the National Cyber ​​and Crypto Agency (BSSN) to the speaker.
