Udayana University English Literature Students Compete in XXI Aceh-North Sumatra PON

I Dewa Ayu Dara Agung Laksmi Paramitha, 7th semester student at the English Literature Study Program, Faculty of Cultural Sciences, Udayana University (Unud) is competing in PON XXI Aceh-North Sumatra which will be held from 8 September to 20 September 2024. 

Unud's proud cricket athlete, who is familiarly called Dara, and the Bali Cricket team at XX Papua PON have succeeded in presenting one gold medal and two silver medals. "I hope that I and the Bali Cricket team can show the best performance we have in this PON event, and that the Bali men's and women's Cricket teams can achieve the targets that must be achieved at the XXI Aceh-North Sumatra PON 2024," said the girl who was born in Denpasar, 21 years ago.

A similar hope was conveyed by the manager and General Secretary of the Bali Indonesian Cricket Association (PCI Bali), Nyoman Kariana Wirawan, who hoped that the Bali Cricket team could achieve the target of eight gold medals for Bali. One of the team's preparations was to arrive early so they could adapt to the new atmosphere and have more time to practice in the new field situation.

On the sidelines of the agenda of the Presidential Forum and NUNI Annual Meeting in Medan, the Vice Rector for Planning, Cooperation and Information at Unud, Prof. Dr. Dr. I Putu Gede Adiatmika, M.Kes, who is also the KONI Bali Monev Team, took the time to visit Dara and the Bali Cricket Team.

Prof. Adiatmika, who was present at the athlete briefing, said that Unud had strong ties with the Bali Cricket team, not only because Dara was one of the athletes there, but also because the Unud field was used as a training ground for the Bali Cricket team. The Vice Rector also appreciated all the efforts and hard work of the Bali Cricket team and was proud of the achievements that had been obtained at PON XX Papua. He also hoped that better achievements could be achieved at PON XXI Aceh-North Sumatra by sweeping gold in all match categories.
