Udayana University Faculty of Agricultural Technology Collaborates with Sookmyung Women's University of Korea to Hold Digital & Leadership Local Training

Jimbaran – Udayana University (Unud) through the Faculty of Agricultural Technology (FTP) in collaboration with Sookmyung Women's University Korea is holding the 2024 UNESCO UNITWIN Digital & Leadership Local Training. This activity, which was carried out together with the Asia Pacific Women's Information Network Center (APWINC) and supported by the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Korea, lasted for 5 days, namely 8 to 12 July 2024. The opening of this training took place in the Hall of the Unud Library Building, Jimbaran Campus and was opened directly by the Rector of Unud, Monday (8/7/2024).

Also present at the opening of this event were Faculty and Postgraduate Leaders, Head of Unit, KUI Representatives, Delegates from Sookmyung Women's University, and other guests. This training was attended by 60 students from 12 faculties within Unud which were divided into two classes namely Leadership and Digital with 30 students each and four students from Sookmyung Women's University.

Dean of FTP Unud Prof. In his speech, I Made Anom Sutrisna Wijaya said that this training aims to increase knowledge and abilities in the digital field and leadership by providing the skills needed to face the challenges of today's rapidly developing world. Through this collaboration, the party hopes to foster a culture of innovation and excellence at Udayana University.  "The participants in this training are students from Udayana University who show their dedication in improving digital skills and leadership competencies. We are proud to have enthusiastic and motivated participants eager to learn and develop," he said.

Dean, Office of International Affairs, Professor, Department of English Language & Literature Sookmyung Women's University Prof. Sehjae Chun in his speech expressed his appreciation to Udayana University for implementing cooperation between the two parties through the implementation of this training program. Through this activity, students from two universities can exchange knowledge and work together. 

Meanwhile, the Rector of Unud Prof. Ngakan Putu Gede Suardana on this occasion said that the implementation of this training could improve women's skills in the field of management and how to become effective leaders. Through collaboration between Udayana University and Sookmyung Women's University, it is hoped that it can help encourage and promote more women to obtain higher positions, namely senior digital positions.

"I hope that this collaboration will continue and be expanded in the future to ensure inclusive education provides fair opportunities for groups that have been marginalized," said the Rector.
