Preventing Corruption in Each Region, Rector of Udayana University together with 41 State University Leaders Sign Cooperation Agreement with KPK

Rector of Udayana University (Unud), Prof. Ir. Ngakan Putu Gede Suardana together with 41 State University Leaders signed a cooperation agreement for the implementation of SPI 2024 and the involvement of universities in efforts to prevent corruption, Thursday (25/7/2024) at the KPK Merah Putih Juang Building Jl. Kuningan Persada, Jakarta.

The leader of the Corruption Eradication Commission, Nurul Ghufron, stated that the responsibility for eradicating corruption does not just lie with one party, but rather the responsibility of all elements of society.

"Eradicating corruption is not only the task of the Corruption Eradication Commission, but is also the joint responsibility of the executive, legislative, business actors and even academics," said Ghufron.

He also hopes that the involvement of universities in the 2024 Integrity Assessment Survey (SPI) can provide useful results for improving the integrity of public institutions in Indonesia.

The Director General of Higher Education, Research and Technology at the Ministry of Education and Culture, Abdul Haris, expressed his enthusiasm for the implementation of SPI in 2024, which is the first collaboration with universities.

"We are very grateful to the KPK leadership and all levels for their initiative and cooperation in creating higher education institutions that have integrity, accountability and are free from corruption," said Abdul.

On the same occasion, a discussion was held on the topic of involving universities in efforts to prevent corruption and support the implementation of the one map policy by presenting four speakers, namely the Secretary General of the Ministry of ATR/BPR Suyus Windayana, Main Secretary of the Geospatial Information Agency Belinda Arunarwati Margono, Director of Regional Coordination and Supervision 1 KPK, and from Greenpeace Indonesia Kiki Taufik.
