Udayana University Extends MoU with Hanian University
Udayana University extended the MoU with Hainan University on Thursday (19/7/2024), at the Udayana University Rectorate Building, Jimbaran.
This visit from Hainan University consisted of the Vice President of Hainan University, Mr. Gao Diangong and 6 delegates including Director of CPC Publicity Department, Han Shumei, Director of Office of Alumni Relations and Advancement, Yu Huamei, Deputy Dean of School of International Education, Zhang Zhao, Dean of the School of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Luo Haibin, and Deputy Dean of the School of Tropical Agriculture and Forestry, Wang Jiang.
Those from Udayana University who attended included the Vice Rector for Planning, Cooperation and Information, Prof. I Putu Gede Adiatmika, Dean of the Faculty of Cultural Sciences, Dean of the Faculty of Agriculture, Representative from the International Affairs Office, as well as representatives from the coordinator of the International Unit at Udayana University.
Rector of Udayana University, Prof. Ngakan Putu Gede Suardana, during this visit received the delegates directly and signed an extension of the MoU between both parties which had previously been in place since 2017. In his speech, the Rector said that this partnership represents the commitment of Udayana University and Hainan University in developing cooperation, especially in various fields. academics in the future.
The Rector hopes that in the previous period where technical cooperation was not implemented, it can be improved in the current period by coordinating further with the relevant Deans who were also present on this occasion who will later explore and discuss more ideas that can be collaborated in the future based on the MoU which includes visits and staff and student exchanges, research, teaching exchanges, as well as carrying out joint academic activities such as conferences and workshops.
While the Vice President of Hainan University, Mr. Gao Diangong expressed his gratitude for Udayana University's welcome in continuing collaboration with his institution. It was stated that the Hainan region has similarities with Bali Province, and that many Indonesians are currently studying, working and even living in Hainan. It is hoped that these similarities will expand and strengthen cooperation between the two parties.
