Denpasar - The Faculty of Social and Political Sciences, Udayana University (FISIP Unud) celebrated the 15th Family Body of the Faculty of Social and Political Sciences in 2024 at the front area of the FISIP Building, Sudirman Campus, Denpasar, Friday (28/6/2024). This activity was attended by the Vice Rector for Student Affairs representing the Rector of Unud, Prof. I Made Bakta, Dean of FISIP and staff, Faculty and Postgraduate Leaders, Heads of Institutions, Lecturers, Students and other guests.

Chairman of the 15th BKFISIP Committee, Adi Putra Suwecawangsa, in his report said that this year's BK took the theme "Synergy in Action to Achieve Change", where Synergy in Action can be interpreted as how we work together through energy, thought, hard work combined in one group that can work together well. It is hoped that in the future this collaboration and cooperation can be further improved and sustainable.

This year's BK event was held for two days, where the first day was a sports day filled with leisurely walks and several competitions. The second day, this morning the flag ceremony was held and continued with the ceremonial cutting of the tumpeng and birthday cake. In the evening there will be a performance by students.

Dean of FISIP Unud, Dr. In his speech, I Nengah Punia said that FISIP as a young faculty was originally initiated by Prof. I Made Bakta. At other universities, FISIP is usually the oldest, but at Udayana University, FISIP is one of the youngest faculties. The establishment of FISIP was driven by Prof. I Made Bakta with several lecturers from the Faculty of Law. At the beginning of its founding, FISIP had two study programs, namely the Sociology Study Program and the International Relations Study Program, which was followed by other study programs.

These 15 years at FISIP have been full of challenges and struggles so that now we have achieved something quite good in terms of physical, quality and number of enthusiasts. In the future, FISIP has extraordinary prospects. With support from the entire academic community, it is hoped that maximum results can be achieved. Apart from that, at FISIP there are human resource constraints, but with minimal human resources, we have worked together and worked together to build FISIP so that in the future it will be more advanced and more powerful.

Meanwhile the Vice Rector Prof. I Ketut Sudarsana representing the Rector of Unud congratulated the 15th BKFISIP celebration. The Vice Rector further said that it is inevitable that changes will continue to occur both in the field of higher education and the social life of the people on the island of Bali. The decision of the Unud leadership led by Prof. I Made Bakta to bring FISIP to Unud is a very appropriate decision, which is expected to be able to produce superior human resources, of course in the fields of social science and political science.

"Even though at the moment there is not much hope, the Faculty of Social and Political Sciences will become one of the centers of excellence at Udayana University in social and political issues," said the Vice Rector.

The Vice Rector hopes that the 15th BKFISIP commemoration will not just be a routine and euphoric party but that this celebration will be a momentum to reflect on ourselves, what we have done in a year and reorganize new things and new strategies to advance FISIP. We must also be enthusiastic about advancing Udayana University so that it stands on an equal footing with large universities in Indonesia.

Prof. I Made Bakta as the founder of FISIP Unud in his message and impression said that FISIP Udayana is now 15 years old if we consider that in terms of human growth, this age is still in adolescence, which of course the positive thing is that its strength is great but it must be controlled. The hope is that FISIP can move forward and take on the challenge of standing on an equal footing with other faculties.

This activity was marked by cutting tumpeng and cake by the Dean of FISIP Unud which was then followed by an entertainment program.
