Udayana University is Proud Again: Students Make Glorious Achievements at Jegeg Bagus Badung 2024

Jegeg Bagus Udayana students once again made brilliant achievements at the 2024 Jegeg Bagus Badung Election, making Udayana University (Unud) proud by winning various prestigious titles. They competed fiercely with 10 other pairs of finalists representing various agencies in Badung Regency.

The Jegeg Bagus Badung 2024 selection took place intensely for 3 months, from March to June 2024. Finalists underwent a series of long and challenging selection activities, including selection stages 1 and 2, pre-quarantine, in-depth interviews and article presentations, and also an appearance at the talent night. During pre-quarantine, finalists were given training to increase their insight and capacity. The assessment is carried out by a panel of judges who are experienced and competent in their fields, ensuring that each finalist gives their best as a representative of their agency.

The highlight of the event, the Grand Final of the 2024 Jegeg Bagus Badung Election, was held on June 1 2024 at the Giri Nata Mandala Cultural Hall, Badung. Representatives of Jegeg Bagus Udayana, namely I Kadek Wijaya Kusuma Putra, Ida Ayu Sri Adnyani Putri, Luh Putu Eka Cintia Permatasari, Anak Agung Intan Praniti, Rascita Primananda, Ni Wayan Suma Wardhani, Anak Agung Ngurah Cahaya Ninggrat, and Ni Luh Putu Intan Afsari, performed brilliantly and won various awards.

I Kadek Wijaya Kusuma Putra from the Bachelor of Public Health Study Program, Faculty of Medicine, was named Winner Bagus Badung. Ida Ayu Sri Adnyani Putri from the Communication Studies Program, Faculty of Social and Political Sciences, won the title of Winner Jegeg Badung and Jegeg Best Catwalk. Luh Putu Eka Cintia Permatasari from the Legal Studies Program, Faculty of Law, was named Runner Up I of Jegeg Badung. Anak Agung Intan Praniti from the Environmental Engineering Study Program, Faculty of Engineering, succeeded in holding the title of Runner Up II in Jegeg Badung.

Rascita Primananda from the Legal Studies Program, Faculty of Law, won the Second Runner Up title in Bagus Badung and Best Promotional Video. Ni Wayan Suma Wardhani from the Legal Studies Program, Faculty of Law, won the Jegeg Intelligence and Jegeg Best Article titles. Anak Agung Ngurah Cahaya Ninggrat from the Taxation Study Program, Faculty of Business Economics, succeeded in winning the Bagus Photogenic and Bagus Best Catwalk titles. Ni Luh Putu Intan Afsari from the International Relations Study Program, Faculty of Social and Political Sciences, was named the Friendship Jegeg.

The brilliant achievements achieved by these students emphasize the existence and quality of Jegeg Bagus Udayana, showing that Udayana University is able to produce high achieving students who still uphold Balinese cultural values. This is in line with Udayana University's vision to be superior, independent and cultured, as well as having a positive impact on the university's image on the national stage.
