Udayana University Holds Socialization on Changes to Graduation/Judicial Process and Graduation

Udayana University (Unud) through the Academic and Statistics Section of the Academic, Cooperation and Public Relations Bureau held a Socialization on Changes to the Graduation/Judicial and Graduation Process at the Dr. A.A Made Djelantik Meeting Room, Faculty of Medicine, Unud, Sudirman Campus, Denpasar, Friday (17/5/2024). The socialization which was opened by the Vice Rector for Academic Affairs was attended by the Chair of USDI, the Deputy Deans for Academic Affairs of the Faculty along with the Coordinators of Study Programs and Postgraduate Studies and other invitees. The resource person for the socialization was I Made Arsa Suyadnya, ST., M.Eng (USDI).

Unud Academic and Statistics Coordinator Agoes Hadi Birawan said the changes in the graduation process were in accordance with the Letter from the Director General of Diktiristek dated November 8 2023 regarding student graduation status. Where in the letter it is stated that in order to provide recognition of learning achievements to students and uniformity in the meaning of pass status in the Higher Education Data Base (PDDIKTI) that PTNs are asked to report on the implementation of valid education at PDDIKTI by paying attention to the reporting period and National Diploma Numbering.

Meanwhile, the Vice Rector for Academic Affairs at Unud, Prof. In his direction, I Gede Rai Maya Temaja said that changes to the graduation process would be delivered by the USDI team that developed this system. It was further stated that regarding this graduation there are problems that are often faced, where the process carried out is on track but there are still things that need to be improved. There is still data that is reported to be incomplete so they have not received a PIN (National Diploma Numbering). Therefore we need to create a system to overcome this.

Through this socialization, the USDI Team will provide a lot of understanding and also hold discussions regarding the graduation and graduation process. This has also been drafted and included in the academic guidelines for the graduation determination process. The Vice Rector hopes that the participants who attend will really pay attention and will later be able to provide services and explanations to prospective graduates and those who will take part in the graduation ceremony.

Resource person I Made Arsa Suyadnya in his presentation said that the background to this change was a suggestion from the Central PDDIKTI Team to be able to use the same reference date for graduation/judicium and that all students who graduate must obtain a PIN where the PIN installation is carried out not at graduation but when the student is declared to have graduated/judicium . Based on this, the graduation/judicial process is separated from graduation. The material also conveys the Final Assignment Validation Cut-Off for UKT/SPP exemptions, Graduation Process Flow, Graduation Process Flow in SIMAK-NG where there are new features provided.
