The Indonesian Tourism Scholars Association together with the Association of Tourism Higher Education Institutions held a Biwindu Seminar on Indonesian Tourism Science

Rector of Udayana University (Unud), Prof. Ngakan Putu Gede Suardana, opened and gave a speech at the Dwiwindu Seminar on Indonesian Tourism Science: Reflections and Projections for the Future, organized by the Indonesian Tourism Scholars Association (ICPI) with the Association of Tourism Higher Education Institutions (HILDIKTIPARI), Monday (25/3/2024) located at the MICE Widyatula Building, Bali Tourism Polytechnic (Poltekpar). This seminar was held with the support of Udayana University and Bali Tourism Polytechnic.

Chairman of the Seminar Committee, Dr. I Made Bachelor, Sp., MSc., in his report said that this seminar was carried out in order to enliven the tourism science biwindu in Indonesia and was specifically held at the Bali Tourism Polytechnic as the tourism science center in Bali and also as a series of implementation of the Bali Poltekpar Dies Natalis. This seminar presents 56 presenters from all over Indonesia who will take part in the seminar and it is hoped that the results of this seminar can provide a direction for tourism science to become more advanced in the future.

In line with this, the Rector of Udayana University in his speech hoped that this seminar would be able to produce recommendations that could be adopted by the government, both the Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy and the Minister of Education and Culture to be formulated in policies for managing and developing tourism higher education that fulfills the aspirations of all parties and makes all Indonesian tourism people happy.

This seminar presented the Director of Bali Tourism Polytechnic, Dr. Drs. Ida Bagus Putu Puja, M. Kes, Chair of ICPI Professor Azril Azahari, Ph.D as well as a resource person who delivered material on the topic The Role of Tourism Scholars in Strengthening the Existence of Tourism Science for Community Welfare and National Progress, and Chair of HILDIKTIPAR Prof. Dr. Diena Mutiara Lemy, A.Par., M.M., CHE, who was also a resource person delivering material on the topic of Optimizing the Contribution of Tourism Higher Education Institutions in Providing Superior Human Resources for Sustainable Tourism Development, Prof. Dr. I Nyoman Darma Putra M Litt, Professor at Udayana University who presented material on the topic Challenges and Solutions for the Development of Tourism Science as an Independent Science.

Also present online was the Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy of the Republic of Indonesia, Dr. H. Sadiaga Salahuddin Uno, B.B.A., M.BA as the keynote speaker who delivered material on the topic of Government Policy in Supporting the Development of Tourism Science as an Independent Science in Indonesia.
