Welcoming the Year of the Wooden Dragon, Tourism Confucius Institute, Faculty of Tourism, Udayana University Holds Spring Festival 2024
The Rector of Udayana University (Unud), in this case represented by the Vice Rector for Planning, Cooperation and Information, Prof. I Putu Gede Adiatmika, was present at the 2024 Spring Festival celebration held by the Tourism Confucius Institute (TCI) of the Faculty of Tourism, Udayana University, Wednesday (7/02/2024), at the Hall of the Faculty of Tourism, Udayana University.
Prof. Adiatmika, on this occasion read the remarks of the Rector of Udayana University who expressed his highest thanks and appreciation to the Consul General of the People's Republic of China in Denpasar, Mr Zhu Xinglong who has facilitated the implementation of collaboration with Udayana University in supporting the Mandarin Language Improvement program for stakeholders tourism in Bali. Collaboration between Udayana University and the Chinese Government, especially through the Tourism Confucius Institute (TCI), has also been running smoothly with various activities carried out by both parties. On this occasion the Vice Rector wished all the invited guests who attended a Happy Chinese New Year 2024. May this Year of the Wooden Dragon be a year of blessings and prosperity for all of us.
Also present at this Spring Festival celebration was the Deputy Consul General of the People's Republic of China in Denpasar, Mr. Zheng Min and Former Consul General of the People's Republic of China in Denpasar, Mr. Gou Haodong.
Consul General Mr. Zhen Min expressed his pleasure at being able to gather at Udayana University to welcome Chinese New Year together. It is hoped that TCI Udayana University can continue to carry out various activities to increase cooperation between the Chinese and Indonesian governments.
On the same occasion, the Dean of the Faculty of Tourism, Udayana University, as the host of the Spring Festival celebration this time, said that the Faculty of Tourism, through TCI, has a special mission to develop tourism actors' resources in developing the Mandarin language and together TCI has carried out activities in all areas, both with government agencies and local authorities.
This Spring Festival celebration was also enlivened by traditional Balinese dance performances and Barong Sai performances.
