Welcoming Six Decades of the Ugracena Bali Student Regiment Towards a Century
Rector of Udayana University (Unud) Prof. Ngakan Putu Gede Suardana attended the series of opening activities to welcome the six decades of the Bali Ugracena Student Regiment towards a century, namely Basic Education Class XXXVIII Batch I and Staff Service Course (KDS) in 2024 at the Menwa Ugracena Monument, Bangsal Struggle Monument Area, Tuesday (30/ 1/2024).
Chief of Staff of the Bali Ugracena Menwa Corps, Mumtazah, in his report said that this activity was attended by two universities, namely Udayana University and Stispol Wira Bhakti, where this activity was planned in waves and continuously. This activity is also combined with other activities such as pilgrimage, defending the country, fighting spirit competition 45, alumni meeting, and social service. On this occasion, his party asked for support from the leadership of Udayana University to support the implementation of Menwa Ugracena activities.
Rector Prof. Ngakan Suardana on this occasion conveyed that the Student Regiment is a forum that plays a role in shaping the soul and character of the nation's generation which is reliable, has a national outlook, full of creativity and dedication to welcome a better future. Likewise with Menwa Ugracena who has been in business for quite a long time. His party appreciated the Ugracena Menwa Corps for its service which was realized through various activities involving national defense education, national insight, and social activities. All activities are carried out independently, which is an independence that should be continued with a spirit of dedication and sincere struggle.
"We hope that this activity will be successful and can produce militant and qualified menwa cadres. Menwa education is not only at the basic level, but is also continued with various other courses to support the main tasks and functions of Menwa," said the Rector.
The Rector also said that Indonesia is currently entering the 2024 General Election (Pemilu) period, as a country with cultural, religious and ethnic diversity, it has big challenges in maintaining unity and unity during the election process. Peaceful elections are not only the task of the government and organizers, but also the collective responsibility of all citizens. Therefore, on this occasion, I also invite all attendees to participate in making safe and peaceful elections a success and to use our voting rights as well as possible.
The opening of this training was marked by the Rector of Udayana University giving signs to the task force and participants, and on this occasion there was also the opening of an exhibition supporting Menwa Ugracena's activities.
