Rector Inaugurates Chair and Vice Chair of 33 Ormawa at University Level, Expects Cooperation and Synergy in Building Udayana University

Jimbaran - Udayana University (Unud) held an Inauguration and Handover Ceremony for the Chair and Vice Chair of Student Organizations (Ormawa) at the university level at the Widya Sabha Auditorium Building, Jimbaran Campus, Friday (12/1/2024). This inauguration was attended by the Rector, Vice Rector for Student Affairs, Head of the Student Affairs Bureau, Vice Deans for Student Affairs at the Faculty, Unit Leaders within the Student Affairs Bureau as well as the Chair and Vice Chair of Ormawa within Udayana University.

A total of 33 Chairmen of Ormawa were appointed by the Rector of Unud who will carry out their duties in the period January to December 2024. The Chairmen and Vice Chairmen of Ormawa who were appointed consisted of the Chairperson and Vice Chairperson of the Student Representative Council (DPM) of Udayana University, Chairperson and Vice Chairperson of the Student Executive Board ( BEM) Udayana University as well as the Chair and Vice Chair of the Student Activity Unit (UKM).

The Chair of BEM Unud is I Wayan Tresna Suwardiana with Vice Chair Ricardo Constantio Elim. Meanwhile, the Chair of the Unud DPM is Ni Luh Yudi Ayuningsih with Vice Chairs Ida Bagus Oka Kusuma Wiratama and Alrich Rovananda Brata.

Rector of Unud Prof. Ngakan Putu Gede Suardana in his speech congratulated all the Chairmen and Vice Chairmen of the 2024 Udayana University Ormawa who were inaugurated. Organizations have an important and beneficial role in students' self-development with the aim of stimulating and supporting the development of students' soft skills through the programs they run. This organization is a vehicle and means for students' self-development towards broadening their horizons, increasing their intelligence and personal integrity in responding to campus, community and national problems.

"With the inauguration of the DPM, BEM and 31 University Level UKM for the 2024 period today, the Heads of Student Organizations will then be invited to listen to presentations regarding work programs that must be achieved by the university. Then these Student Organizations can hold a Work Meeting to develop plans and work programs and can coordinate with the Ormawa Development Unit (UPO)," said the Rector of Unud.

The Rector asked all Ormawa to perform, knowing the achievements that must be achieved in 2024 because everything is to meet the university's main performance indicators such as entrepreneurship at IKU 1, outstanding students and MBKM at IKU 2. Cooperation and synergy are needed in building Udayana University.
