Strengthening Collaboration in the Field of Architecture, Udayana University Signs MoUs with Various Universities in China
Udayana University (Unud) received visits from delegations from various universities in China, Saturday (18/11/2023) at the Royal Tulip Springhill Resort Jimbaran. During the visit, an MoU was also signed between Udayana University and several universities in China which are members of the Belt and Road Architectural University International Consortium (BRAUIC), including Beijing University of Civil Engineering Architecture, Shandong Jianzhu University, Tianjin Chengjian University, Wuhan University, Qingdao University of Technology, Nanchang University, Beijing University of Science and Technology and Ceijing City University.
Vice Rector for Cooperation Planning and Information at Udayana University, Professor I Putu Gede Adiatmika, in his speech said that the aim of holding this activity was to strengthen smart city cooperation by taking advantage of the geographical advantages and architectural, historical and cultural heritage of the two countries. This meeting is important because it is hoped that it can increase opportunities for collaboration in research, technology and technology transfer with several universities, especially collaboration in the field of architecture.
Meanwhile, representatives from Beijing University of Civil Engineering Architectutre who is also the chairman of BRAUIC, representatives from Shandong Jianshu University, representatives from Tianjin Changjian University and representatives from Wuhan University also gave remarks regarding their visit to Bali, especially holding a meeting with Udayana University in order to start relations cooperation between the parties in the future. On this occasion, the hope was also expressed that Udayana University could make a return visit to China.
In this meeting there was also a presentation in the field of architecture by Dr Antonius Karel from the Faculty of Engineering regarding the Architecture Graphic and Visual Communication Laboratory. Followed by a discussion related to the management of the architecture program run at Udayana University.
