Udayana University Extends Collaboration with Charoen Pokphand Foundation Indonesia
Udayana University (Unud) extended its collaboration with the Charoen Pokphand Foundation Indonesia, which was marked by the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) by both parties and also the signing of a Cooperation Agreement (PKS) between the Faculty of Animal Husbandry and the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, Udayana University, located in the Nation Room, Rectorate Building Jimbaran Campus, Thursday (09/11/2023).
Rector of Udayana University Prof. Ngakan Putu Gede Suardana in his speech said that Udayana University has collaborated since July 2014 and is still running smoothly to date. Apart from that, PT. Charoen Pokphand is also one of the companies that receives the most graduates from Udayana University, where many Udayana University alumni work in various lines of business, especially graduates from the Faculty of Animal Husbandry and the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine.
"Hopefully, by extending the cooperation, both the MoU and the Cooperation Agreement (PKS), it will be able to help graduates and prospective graduates of the Faculty of Animal Husbandry and the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, Udayana University to be ready to work in the livestock industry in general," said the Rector.
Furthermore, the Rector hopes that through the signing of this Memorandum of Understanding and Cooperation Agreement, it can become a cement for synergistic communication and collaboration between Udayana University and PT. Charoen Pokphand Foundation.
Meanwhile, Vice President Director of PT Charoen Pokphand Indonesia Peraphon Prayooravong, DVM., MBA in his speech said that collaboration with Udayana University is a strategic step that has long been carried out as a form of concern for the world of education and also as a commitment and responsibility to improve the quality of graduate Human Resources. Udayana University is ready to use and has global competitiveness.
"Apart from that, one of the core values that we uphold is providing scholarships to underprivileged and talented students. We believe that education is the key to optimizing a person's full potential so that by providing scholarships it is hoped that we can open the door to a bright future for the next generation of young people. ," said Vice President Director of PT Charoen Pokphand Indonesia.
The signing of this MoU was also coupled with a Public Lecture on the topic of Building Competent and Work-Ready Livestock Human Resources by presenting resource person Baso Alim Bahri, Spsi., M.Adm. SDA. from PT. Charoen Pokphand Eastern Indonesia – Makasar, and attended by students from the Faculty of Animal Husbandry and the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine.
