Rector of Udayana University Signs MoU with NHI Bandung Tourism Polytechnic
Jimbaran - Udayana University (Unud) started collaboration with the NHI Bandung Tourism Polytechnic in the field of the Tridharma of Higher Education which was marked by the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding by the Rector of Unud and the Director of Poltekpar NHI Bandung, located in the Language Room of the Unud Rectorate Building, Jimbaran Campus, Monday (6/11/ 2023). Also present at the MoU signing ceremony were the Vice Rector for Planning, Cooperation and Information, Unud, Chair of LP3M Unud and the Team as well as from the NHI Poltekpar, attended by the Vice Director for Academic Affairs and Quality Assurance and his staff.
This collaboration between Unud and Poltekpar NHI Bandung will be followed up by LP3M in terms of assistance in the field of Internal Quality Assurance Systems (SPMI) and External Quality Assurance Systems (SPME), as well as implementing other activities in accordance with the cooperation requirements proposed by NHI.
Rector of Unud Prof. Ir. Ngakan Putu Gede Suardana, MT., Ph.D., IPU in his speech gave a glimpse of Udayana University which has two campus locations in Denpasar and on the Jimbaran campus, and currently has 13 faculties and one postgraduate with 123 Study Programs, with Unud status the BLU and moving towards PTNBH, which is expected to be realized next year. Through this collaboration, it is hoped that the relationship and communication between Unud and NHI Poltekpar can be closer and closer.
"Of course we really hope that with this Memorandum of Understanding we can collaborate more closely between Udayana University and the NHI Tourism Polytechnic, considering that Udayana University also has a Faculty of Tourism, later this MoU can be realized more closely at the implementation level, so that it is really not an MoU just on paper and there is action," said the Rector of Unud.
Meanwhile, the Director of the NHI Bandung Polytechnic, Andar Danova L. Goeltom, M.Sc, CHE, in his speech gave a glimpse of the National Hotel Institute (NHI), which operated from 1971-1981, almost 10 years. Then he received full assistance and support from the Swiss government, at that time the tourism phenomenon was on the rise which brought big changes to the NHI school. NHI Bandung Poltekpar is the oldest tourism school in Indonesia and even in Asia Pacific. The NHI Poktekpar is a work unit under the Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy and there are six currently in existence, including the Bali Poltekpar. Currently it has two campuses with 11 study and postgraduate programs.
Through this opportunity, the Director of Poltekpar NHI expressed his gratitude for being able to collaborate with Unud, the aim of which is quality assurance which will be the front group, becoming a very substantial thing in institutional development. In accordance with the direction of the Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy, NHI Poltekpar was asked to carry out internationalization in the Tridharma, one of the elements of which is quality assurance and BAN-PT will visit AIPT. It is hoped that it will receive a superior title and has received support from Unud through LP3M and this is one of the clauses of the accreditation, namely partnership.
