Series of Commemoration of the 61st Anniversary, Udayana University Student Executive Board Holds PORSENI

The Student Executive Board (BEM) of Udayana University (Unud) held the Grand Opening of PORSENI for the 61st Anniversary of Udayana University at the Widya Sabha Auditorium, Jimbaran Unud Campus, Sunday (03/09/2023). This year's PORSENI Anniversary has the theme Cipta Asa Mandrakanta Nawasena Udayana.

Committee Chairman I Wayan Tresna Suwardiana in his report said that the 61st Anniversary of Udayana University's PORSENI activities had been prepared for approximately 2 months, starting from September 3 2023 to October 8 2023. This year's Porseni presented 7 sports branches and 5 competitions. the participants came from 13 faculties within Udayana University.

The purpose of implementing the 61st Anniversary PORSENI is to accommodate the interests and talents of Udayana University students and also as a series of activities for the 61st Anniversary of Udayana University which falls on September 29, 2023.

The Head of BEM Unud Putu Bagus Padmanegara said to make the 61st Anniversary PORSENI activities a momentum to improve skills, both contingents and supporters so they don't just stop at this PORSENI activity, but can continue their talents to other national events such as POMNas and Peksiminas. He also advised other students to instill the Udayana spirit, namely students who are naturally accomplished and active.

Meanwhile, the Vice Rector for Student Affairs, Prof. Ngakan Putu Gede Suardana said that the Anniversary PORSENI was an arena for competitions in both sports and arts from each faculty within Udayana University. The message is, make this PORSENI an arena to find and express interests and talents between faculties, so that through this activity superior talents will emerge to represent Udayana University in the framework of POMNas, Peksiminas, and other national activities.

The Grand Opening of PORSENI for the 61st Anniversary of Udayana University was marked by the planting of a kayon by the Vice Rector for Student Affairs and the inauguration of the trophy and the contingent parade of each faculty.
