Udayana University Office of International Affairs Collaborates with BINUS University Targeting MSMEs in Bali in the 2023 ICDP Program
Udayana University (Unud) through the Office of International Affairs (KUI) in collaboration with Binus University held the 2023 International Community Development Program (ICDP) which took place from 28 August to 2 September 2023. The event was opened by the KUI Coordinator Dr.Eng. Ir. Ni Nyoman Pujianiki, ST, MT, M.Eng, IPM on Monday (28/8) at the KUI Jimbaran Office which was then continued with program orientation.
ICDP is a program that provides valuable experience for students from participating countries and friendly countries to enrich their knowledge in their studies. This program involves participants from Unud and Binus students as well as participants from leading foreign universities such as Universiti Malaya in Malaysia, Panpacific University in the Philippines, and Dong Nai Technology University in Vietnam. It is hoped that this cross-border collaboration can increase cultural exchange and create a rich learning environment for all participants.
On the second day in the series of activities (29/8), students had a unique opportunity to interact with stakeholders from the Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME) sector, namely UC Silver and Ajik Milk Pie, and on the third and fourth days ( 8/30-31) participants identified challenges faced and collaborated to formulate innovative solutions. Through this learning approach, it is hoped that it can connect academic theories with real world situations and empower students to make real contributions.
On the final day of this series of events, a gallery walk was held which took place on Friday (1/9) which was filled with exhibitions of the results of innovations and solutions that participants offered to MSMEs. This event invited representatives from related offices and Unud students.
Dr. Eng. Ir. Ni Nyoman Pujianiki, ST, MT, M.Eng, IPM said that it was a pleasure to collaborate with BINUS which is a top national university. In this International Community Development Program, Udayana University students can join foreign students in applying design thinking, so that students' insight becomes more creative in solving problems.
