Udayana University Releases KKNT/MBKM Students to Build Villages and Research MBKM to Partners
Jimbaran - Institute for Research and Community Service (LPPM) Udayana University (Unud) held a Departure event for Independent Students and Lecturers for Free Campus Learning (MBKM) Building Villages/Thematic Real Work Lectures & MBKM Independent Research/Research Udayana University Period III Year 2023 took place in the Nation Room, Jimbaran Campus Rectorate Building, Monday (28/8/2023). This activity was attended by the Vice Rectors, Institutional Leaders, Faculty Leaders, Study Program Coordinators, Field Supervisors (DPL) and KKN students.
Head of LPPM Unud Prof. I Nyoman Suarsana in his report said that MBKM Mandiri aims to prepare students to become true learners who are skilled, flexible and tenacious, graduates who are tough, relevant to the needs of the times, and ready to become leaders with a high national spirit. There are two Independent MBKM organized by Unud through LPPM namely Research MBKM and KKNT MBKM which are expected to be a solution for student creativity and innovation.
"We believe that learning can occur anywhere, the universe of learning is limitless, not only in classrooms, libraries and laboratories, but also in villages, industry, workplaces, places of service, research centers, and in the community. Through close interaction between universities and the world of work, and the real world, universities will be present as springs for the progress and development of the nation, directly coloring the culture and civilization of the nation," said the Head of LPPM Unud.
Participants in the MBKM Research 2023 bath I were 21 people and bath II were 42 people, making a total of 63 people. There were 41 MBKM KKNT participants. The origins of the participants in the MBKM Developing Villages/KKNT Period III of 2023 are the Political Science Study Program (Faculty of Social and Political Sciences), Communication Studies Program (Faculty of Social and Political Sciences), International Relations Study Program (Faculty of Social and Political Sciences) , Public Administration Study Program (Faculty of Social and Political Sciences), Agroecotechnology Study Program (Faculty of Agriculture), Architectural Engineering Study Program (Faculty of Engineering), and Aquatic Resources Management Study Program (Faculty of Maritime Affairs and Fisheries). The Villages where the MBKM Development Village/KKNT Period III of 2023 are located are the Kesiman Traditional Village, Denpasar, Manggisari Jembarana Village, Yeh Embang Jembrana Village, Kusamba, Dawan, Klungkung, Ungasan Village, South Kuta District, Badung and Batuan Village, Sukawati District, Regency Gianyar. Research MBKM and KKNT MBKM learning will last for 1 semester or 906 hours of learning.
Meanwhile the Vice Rector for Academic Affairs Prof. I Gede Rai Maya Temaja representing the Rector of Udayana University in his direction conveyed that through the MBKM program, the Minister of Education and Culture provides opportunities for students for at least 1 semester with the conversion of 20 credits to study outside their study program. This KKNT is in nature to apply the theory possessed during college and give it to the community as a vehicle for practical knowledge. This is an opportunity to study outside and convert as many as 20 credits and study program coordination to ensure the conversion. To the DPL to guide and direct and provide assessments to these KKN students and not just that because there are many things we have to fix. The role of the supervisors is to remind the POB and the duties and functions that must be carried out. Ethics must be in line with that and not commit acts that deviate from the norms.
"We hope that later there will be a good synergy, mutual acceptance and giving, mutual nurturing between younger siblings and partners in the village, as well as those who take MBKM Research work well to gain knowledge from partners," said the Vice Rector.
The Vice Rector asked students to carry out their program well and show maturity as higher education people, especially Udayana University. Through this opportunity the Vice Rector also thanked all parties who had prepared this and hoped that it would run smoothly.
The release of students and DPL was marked by pinning nametags and hats to students and DPL by the Vice Rector for Academic Affairs together with the Vice Rectors as well as the Chair and Secretary of LPPM.
