Equating Perceptions, Udayana University Holds Knowledge Tracer Study Sharing
Udayana University (Unud) through the Career and Alumni Development Unit (UPKA) held a "Sharing Knowledge Tracer Study", located at SenS Hotels & Resorts Ubud, Gianyar. Wednesday, (26/7/2023). This activity was opened by the Vice Rector for Student Affairs Prof. Ir. Ngakan Putu Gede Suardana, MT., Ph.D., IPU and attended by Deputy Deans for Student Affairs, USDI Representatives, LP3M, Study Program Coordinators, UPIKS and UP3M Heads of each faculty at Unud, Bali State Polytechnic, Warmadewa University and Undiksha.
The Sharing Knowledge Tracer Study presents four resource persons namely Prof. Wahyu Susihono from CDC Untirta, Ahmad Syafiq, Ph.D from DPKHA University of Indonesia, Dina Alif from Secretariat General of DIKTI, and Yulia Citra from Belmawa.
Head of UPKA Unud Dr. On this occasion Kadek Dwita Apriani, S.Sos., M.I.P said that this was the first time this activity was being carried out by UPKA Unud involving the CDC Team and parties handling tracer studies from other universities. This activity was motivated by the desire to know the efforts that had been made by the University of Indonesia and Untirta to achieve the IKU 1 target which must be recognized as not easy. Apart from that, I would also like to know about various plans for regulatory or technical changes designed by DIKTI to improve tracer studies in the future.
It is hoped that in the future there will be an increase in the response rate from 55 percent in 2022, to 85 percent in 2023. The Chair of UPKA is optimistic that the response rate of each faculty can increase according to the target. In addition, it is also hoped that this activity will provide benefits to all stakeholders involved in efforts to improve tracer study (IKU 1) achievements not only at Udayana University but have an impact on other friends at universities in Bali. "We really hope that we will be able to hold this activity on an ongoing basis every year with the number of invitations that may be expanded if the resulting benefits are felt positive," he said.
Meanwhile the Vice Rector for Student Affairs Prof. Ir. Ngakan Putu Gede Suardana, MT., Ph.D., IPU in the opening of this event also shared experiences on managing tracer studies with other universities, namely the University of Indonesia and Untirta, as well as with the Ministry of Education and Culture to be able to provide input and direction or share knowledge with the team from the University Udayana which is of course in order to improve the Key Performance Indicators (IKU) 1 of Unud.
It is hoped that this event will be able to equalize perceptions and move to increase IKU 1, which in 2022 was still below the target. The Vice Rector hopes that in 2023 it can exceed the target of 60 percent of the performance achievement.
In addition, it was also conveyed that the Vice Dean for Student Affairs in each faculty, UPIKS, and study program coordinators played a very important role in increasing KPI achievements and tracer study response rates. "The Vice Deans for Student Affairs, UPIKS, and study program coordinators are closest to alumni, making it easier to achieve even distribution of IKU 1 achievements and also for the accreditation of each study program," said the Vice Rector.
