Following the Development of the Language Service Industry in the Digitalization Era, the Head of Language Center of Udayana University Attended the National Workshop I FILBA

The Forum for Language Service Institutions (FILBA) is holding a series of National Workshop I agendas at Telkom University starting from July 5 to July 9 2023. Language Center of Udayana University as one of the National Board members participates in these activities.

The series of workshop activities began with a Keynote Speech from the Language Development and Development Agency, Drs. Abdul Khak, M.Hum and Training on the Use of AI in Language Learning by Hikmat Gumelar. Other trainings are Technology Use and Language Learning, Technology Development Training in Online Test Supervision, Mini Workshop on Making Moodle-Based Online E-Learning, Mini Workshop on Using the TRAINO Application, and others.

In his remarks, Director of Postgraduate and Advance Learning (PSAL), Dr. Achmad Rizal said that the Language Center is currently an important part of higher education because of the current demands for publications to be included in international journals. He further said that every university is currently expected to be able to print publications in international journals, to facilitate this, the Language Center can help lecturers to make scientific papers that are in good language and according to foreign language standards with current AI beneficiaries.

Head of FILBA, Dr. Soni Tandiana said that in the current technological era, the use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) needs special attention, especially in improving the quality of language services.
