Udayana University and Amancio Nicolas Agritourism Academy Philippines, Initiated Cooperation in Animal Husbandry

Udayana University (Unud) collaborated with Amancio Nicolas Agritourism Academy Philippines which was marked by the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) by both parties at the Unud Rectorate Building, Jimbaran Campus, Wednesday (12/07/2023).

This collaboration was an initiation from the Faculty of Animal Husbandry, which on this occasion also signed a Memorandum of Agreement (MoA) by the Dean of the Faculty of Animal Husbandry, Udayana University, with President Amancio Nicolas Agritourism Academy Philippines.

Vice Rector for Planning, Cooperation and Information of Unud Prof. I Putu Gede Adiatmika, who in this case represents the Rector, said that according to the Rector's directives, every MoU that has been signed must be followed up with implementation in the form of an MoA. The form of follow-up to this collaboration will include a Joint Conference activity in September. This is certainly the first step in good cooperation between Udayana University and Amancio Nicolas Agritourism Academy, Philippines.

After the Joint Conference activities are expected to be followed by the implementation of other activities in the fields of education, research, and community service. It is hoped that the signing of the MoU and MoA will provide benefits for both parties.

Meanwhile, President of Amancio Nicolas Agritourism Academy Philippines Noime C. Liangco said that Amancio Nicolas Agritourism Academy Philippines wants to empower farmers in the Philippines. It is hoped that the signing of this MoU will become a legal umbrella for cooperation between the two parties, which will be followed up with various forms of technical cooperation. "The previous Covid-19 pandemic has taught us that we cannot fight alone," he said.
