Udayana University Again Extends Memorandum of Understanding with Indonesian Internet Domain Name Managers
Udayana University (Unud) continued the collaboration with the Indonesian Internet Domain Name Manager (PANDI) which was followed up with the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding and at the same time the signing of a Cooperation Agreement (PKS) was carried out between the Faculty of MIPA Unud, and the Faculty of Cultural Sciences Unud with PANDI which took place at Hall of the Library of Udayana University Campus Bukit Jimbaran, Tuesday (4/4/23).
The Rector of Udayana University, who on this occasion was represented by the Vice Rector for Planning, Cooperation and Information, Prof. Dr. dr. I Putu Gede Adiatmika, M.Kes very much welcomes the extension of this collaboration. With the presence of PANDI at Unud it is hoped that it can strengthen the cooperative relations of the two parties, so that what is the program of each faculty can be carried out properly.
"Of course, with this collaboration we hope for support from PANDI to Udayana University, so that the programs run by the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences and the Faculty of Cultural Sciences can be implemented properly under the coordination of mutually beneficial cooperation between the two parties, namely PANDI and Unud," said the Vice Rector.
The extension of this collaboration is a process of synergy that has been implemented for a long time and we hope that this synergy will get stronger. As is well known, Unud is currently heading towards digitization, therefore the Chancellor of Unud also expects all units to reduce manual matters both in terms of communication, registration, and others, so that services at Unud can be carried out more quickly.
Meanwhile the Chairman of the Board of Trustees of PANDI Prof. Yudho Giri Sucahyo said that the collaboration carried out by PANDI with Udayana University was related to development research for the level II domain of the Balinese script. This is a collaboration between the community and academics where the government will also work together, and it is also multi-disciplinary in nature because it is collaborating with two faculties at Unud, namely the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences and the Faculty of Cultural Sciences. After the implementation of this collaboration, it is hoped that Unud will be able to start being the organizer for the level II domain of the Balinese script. It is hoped that in the future exposure to the use of the Balinese script will increase nationally and internationally, so that the world's internet operators will see this growth and one day be able to agree that the dot behind it is Balinese script without any more id.
Yudho Giri Sucahyo also hopes that the continuation of this collaboration will be a good start related to the collaboration between PANDI and Udayana University which is an example of two multidisciplinary research collaborations that were also discovered by the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research and Technology, which are also included in the Key Performance Indicators. (IKU) both between multidiscipline and cooperation with external parties in this case is PANDI. "So once rowing two to four islands are exceeded," he said.
