Denpasar - Sunday (12/03/2023), in order to start the work period for the next one year, the Udayana University Student Executive Board (BEM Unud) "Udayana Rise" Cabinet held a Cabinet Grand Opening with the theme "Turn on Hope of Metamorphosis to Awaken Udayana and Indonesia”. More specifically, the purpose of holding the Grand Opening is to introduce the entity "Udayana Rises" and explain the direction of motion/aspirations/goal of work of BEM Udayana University in 2023. The Grand Opening was held in a solemn manner at the Archipelago Hall, Agrocomplex Building, Sudirman Campus, University Udayana which was attended by the heads of BEM universities throughout Bali and all student organizations throughout Udayana University.

The Head of BEM of Udayana University, I Putu Bagus Padmanegara in his speech emphasized the issue of balancing between academics and organizations. In the current context, there is still a stereotype that states that organizations make the graduation period slower. This is of course caused by a lack of skills in time management. Then the emphasis of the discussion in another speech was the issue of improving the quality of human resources of the Udayana academic community accompanied by an increase in achievement both academic and non-academic. Padmanegara also emphasized that being a BEM functionary should not be known just for liking demonstrations, but should also be known for his achievements as a form of concrete service to the agency.

Meanwhile, the Vice Rector for Student Affairs, Prof. Ir. Ngakan Putu Gede Suardana, M.T., Ph.D., IPU. who also attended the Grand Opening was proud to share his various experiences in organizing and his ambition to remain a person who achieves both academically and non-academically. The event which was open to the public was then followed by the beating of the gong by the Vice Rector for Student Affairs as a representation of the opening of a period for the "Udayana Bangkit" cabinet.

The event was then continued with an introduction to the five (5) areas of work under the auspices of the Udayana Bangkit cabinet, including: 1) Interests, Talents and Achievements with the field coordinator, on behalf of I Gusti Ngurah Arya Wira Pangestu. This field covers at least three (3) departments, namely: a) youth and sports; b) art and creativity; c) research, reasoning, and knowledge. 2) Student Affairs with the field coordinator, on behalf of Shakira Olivia. This field covers at least three (3) departments, namely: a) potential and career development; b) advocacy for student welfare; c) creative economy. 3) Relations and Harmonization of Relations with the field coordinator, on behalf of I Komang Satria Jagadhita. The presence of these five work fields in the Udayana Bangkit cabinet is expected to be able to balance knowledge and soft skills, academic and non-academic, lectures and organizations, achievements and organizations. Likewise with the presence of these five fields, BEM will not only be known as a collection of masses who can only take to the streets, but in their own right each has the ability to think critically and reason for an established pure science. Padmanegara as chairman of BEM Udayana University then resolved that the Grand Opening event was expected to be able to introduce BEM and be able to collaborate with various parties, both on campus internally and externally.
