Udayana University Establishes Collaboration with Iqra University Pakistan

Jimbaran - Udayana University (Unud) collaborated with Iqra University, Pakistan which was marked by the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) by both parties at the Language Room of the Rectorate Building, Jimbaran Campus, Wednesday (7/12/2022). Present at the signing were the Vice Rector for Planning, Cooperation and Information representing the Rector of the Udayana University, the Dean of the Faculty of Engineering, the KUI Coordinator, the Cooperation and Public Relations Coordinator as well as representatives from the Faculty of Economics and Business, and the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences. Meanwhile, Iqra University was attended by the President/Vice Chancellor, Dean of the Faculty of Science, Engineering and Technology, Chairman of the Faculty of Business Administration and Director of Bahria Town Campus, Director of Research and Publications and Director of North Campus, and Head of Corporate Liaison and International Linkages. Also attending online were the Indonesian Consul General in Karachi Dr. June Kuncuro Hadiningrat.

Vice Rector Prof. I Putu Gede Adiatmika in his remarks said that through the signing of this MoU, his party hopes to be followed up with concrete activities through the MoA by the two universities. There are three faculties from Unud that are related to faculties at Iqra University that can follow up on this MoU in the form of research, education and joint conference collaborations.

President/Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Wasim Qazi in his speech said that Iqra University was founded 22 years ago and was ranked first in Pakistan and was included in the QS Rank. The collaboration that will be forged later will not only focus on student mobility but also exchange and development of faculty programs.

Meanwhile, the Indonesian Consul General in Karachi, Dr. June Kuncuro Hadiningrat on the occasion said that Karachi is important for Pakistan because it is a commercial and business center, and the existence of Iqra University is important because it is in the business center of Pakistan. This is an opportunity for Udayana University to collaborate with Iqra University which is a center for international students.
