XVII POMNAS Officially Opened Minister of Education, Culture, Research and Technology Nadiem Makarim

Padang - The Bali National Student Sports Week (POMNAS) contingent attended the opening of the XVII POMNAS at Padang State University (UNP) November 17 2022 which was opened by the Minister of Education and Culture Nadiem Makarim. Chairman of BAPOMI Bali who is also Vice Rector for Student Affairs at Udayana University Prof. Ngakan Putu Gede Suardana was also present to accompany the athletes.

Before attending the opening ceremony the Balinese contingent also had the opportunity to pray at the Jagadnatha Padang Temple.

POMNAS will last for 10 days from 17 to 26 November 2022 by competing in 14 sports. The theme of this year's POMNAS is "Realizing Excellent Student Talents Towards Golden Indonesia".

Minister of Education and Culture Nadiem Makarim conveyed the need to facilitate students' talents and interests in sports as an effort to present a competitive, creative young generation in their work and achievements. Minister Nadiem also requested that he continue to uphold the values ​​of sportsmanship, because actual achievement is not judged by the medals won, but by the commitment to compete in a healthy and honest manner, as well as the determination to become Pancasila Students who are smart, healthy and with character.
