Vice Governor Releases BAPOMI Bali Contingent Towards POMNas XVII in West Sumatra

Denpasar - Wednesday (9/11/2022), at the Natya Mandala Building, ISI Denpasar Campus, the Athletes of the National Student Sports Week (POMNas) of BAPOMI Bali were released. The release of the athletes was carried out by the Vice Governor representing the Governor of Bali which was marked by the embedding of the Athlete Hat. After the release, a joint prayer was held at the Pura Agung Jagadnatha Denpasar. POMNas will be held at Padang State University, West Sumatra Freshwater Campus, 17-27 November 2022.

Chairman of the Committee (Vice Rector III of the State Hindu University I Gusti Bagus Sugriwa) Ida Bagus Candrawan in his report said the BAPOMI management had seriously and diligently prepared POMNas by forming a committee to prepare the Bali contingent. A total of 92 athletes were sent to participate in 13 of the 14 existing sports from 13 universities in Bali accompanied by 43 coaches, coaches and officials. During the preparation, many dynamics were experienced in terms of athlete readiness, considering that it was also in conjunction with the implementation of the Bali Porprov. He thanked all parties who have supported and supported this activity, especially from KONI Bali.

Chairman of BAPOMI Bali (Vice Rector III Udayana University) Prof. Ngakan Putu Gede Suardana in his speech congratulated all the athletes who had been selected to represent Bali at the POMNas event in Padang. His party expects these athletes to maintain their enthusiasm and confidence to win medals to be able to maintain their ranking in POMNas or increase them. Many obstacles and obstacles faced, one of which was Porprov, but KONI Bali was extraordinary in supporting this event. Even with mutual cooperation funds, he hopes that the athletes will remain enthusiastic about participating in this POMNas event and maintain their health.

Chairman of KONI Bali I Gusti Ngurah Oka Darmawan said that his party had a commitment to the same schedule with Porprov and had made a report so that athletes could stay focused on participating in the chosen competition. He asked all athletes to maintain the good name of Bali, the champion is definitely the best.

Meanwhile, the Governor of Bali in his remarks read by the Vice Governor Prof. Tjokorda Oka Artha Ardana Sukawati (Cok Ace) asked to take advantage of the POMNas moment to achieve achievements and make Bali proud and maintain sportsmanship. In this POMNas XVII, Udayana University sent 29 athletes with Basketball, Badminton, Karate, Pencak Silat, Petanque, Swimming, Taekwondo and Tarung Derajat sports.
