Labor Network, UPKA Udayana University Holds Udayana Career Days 2022
The Student Affairs Bureau through the Career and Alumni Development Unit (UPKA) held "Udayana Career Days 2022" at the Nusantara Hall, 4th Floor, Agrocomplex Building, Unud Sudirman Campus, Denpasar. This activity is carried out offline and lasts for two days Monday-Tuesday 19-20/09/2022. The opening ceremony was attended by the Rector of Udayana University, the Vice Rector for Student Affairs at Udayana University, the Head of the Bali Province Manpower Service, the Deans and Vice Deans for Student Affairs, the Student Affairs Bureau and its ranks, as well as company partners.
Dr. Kadek Dwita Apriani as the head of the organizer said that this Udayana Career Days was first conducted by the Career and Alumni Development Unit (UPKA) of Unud after the pandemic hit for a long time. There was tremendous enthusiasm from the participants and visitors who came.
14 companies that are partners of Udayana University are participating in this activity, which will recruit in their respective companies. Of the 14 companies there are approximately 250 job vacancies. The registrants who attended included Unud alumni, the general public, and also from final semester students. The total registrants until 18/09 were 1460 registrants. "Hopefully colleagues who are present can get optimal benefits from this Udayana Career Days activity," he said.
Rector of Udayana University Prof. I Nyoman Gde Antara, who opened this event, expressed his hope that in the future it will continue and become one of the flagship events at Unud. Events related to organizing exhibitions and events that provide information like this provide a great opportunity for students as academics, as well as alumni. They will get complete information to later pursue a career and work in a company.
Besides that, Unud as a higher education institution that produces graduates will take a step forward as a higher education institution that brings alumni to the career gate to get a job. It will be a matter of pride for Unud if it can lead its alumni to get jobs in accordance with their fields of graduation, it is hoped that this can be a milestone for the improvement of the community's economy.
