Faculty of Medicine Udayana University Holds Funbike and Mangrove Planting Celebrates 60th BKFK

The Faculty of Medicine, Udayana University celebrates the 60th Family Medical Faculty (BKFK) with various activities. One of the activities carried out was Funbike and Mangrove Planting which was attended by the Rector, Vice Rector for Planning, Cooperation and Information, Director of the Udayana University Hospital and the Dean and the academic community within the Faculty of Medicine Udayana University, Saturday (19/3/2022). The funbike starts from the Sudirman Denpasar Campus and finishes at the mangrove planting site in the Mangrove Benoa Pesanggaran area. The Rector of Udayana University also took part in cycling in this activity.

Chairman of the Committee I Wayan Ryan Sidharta Putrayana said that the implementation of this activity was aimed at being able to remain creative in the midst of a pandemic while still implementing health protocols and also maintaining environmental welfare and no less important was commemorating the 60th anniversary of BKFK. Another goal is to strengthen the ties of friendship within the Faculty of Medicine. He hopes that all activities can run smoothly.

The Dean of the Faculty of Medicine, Udayana University, Dr. Komang Januartha Putra Pinatih conveyed that the series of commemorations of the 60th BKFK had started since early March, such as blood donation activities and competitions and this time funbikes and mangrove planting were carried out. This activity is an effort to strengthen the ties of brotherhood among the academic community of the Faculty of Medicine Udayana University family, besides that it is also to show our concern not only in the field of medicine but also for the environment, therefore today's mangrove planting is being carried out. This activity can of course be held with the support of all parties and the Dean appreciates all parties who have contributed to the success of this activity.

While the Rector of Udayana University Prof. I Nyoman Gde Antara said that this activity was very good because it could increase intimacy among the academic community. Furthermore, the Rector conveyed that the existence of Faculty of Medicine was very important for Udayana University, of course the university leadership would always support the activities carried out by Faculty of Medicine in the future. The Rector also appreciated everything that had been done by FK in order to advance the institution of Unud in the midst of society so that the current existence of Udayana University could not be separated from the contribution of the Faculty of Medicine. In the future, we hope to be able to develop more and develop themselves according to their respective duties and responsibilities. Through this opportunity, the Rector also wished Faculty of Medicine Udayana University his best wishes for more victories and success in the years to come.

This mangrove planting was also carried out with the support of volunteers who are members of the Mangrove Ranger and even though it was raining the planting continued.
