Udayana University received a team visit from the National Research and Innovation Agency (BRIN) at the Postgraduate Building, Sudirman Campus, Denpasar, Friday (11/03/2022). The team visit was received by the Vice Rector for Planning, Cooperation and Information at Udayana University together with the Postgraduate Director, Vice Directors, Study Programs Coordinator in the Postgraduate environment and related ranks. This visit is in the context of initiating cooperation in developing the potential of Indonesia's Biodiversity by BRIN.
Vice Rector for Planning, Cooperation, and Information Prof. I Putu Gede Adiatmika in his speech expressed his gratitude for the cooperation opportunities offered by BRIN in relation to the establishment of Local Champion 100 Doctoral Qualifications in the field of Biodiversity in the context of developing biodiversity. Of course, Udayana University will support this collaboration opportunity so that this collaboration can continue not only in the field of education but also in the Tri Dharma of other Higher Education. The interesting thing about this collaboration opportunity is to use a Field Station located in West Bali where the Postgraduate also has a collaboration located in West Bali so that they can work together.
While the Team Leader from BRIN Dr. Wawan Sujarwo said that this activity is planned to be proposed under the Foreign Loan (PLN) scheme which has been initiated since 2021. Currently BRIN is developing Research Stations spread over 25 locations in Indonesia, one of which is in Bali. We identified several stakeholders at the Ministry level other than KLHK because of the 25 Field Station locations, around 80 percent are conservation areas. The Team Leader hopes that after 5 years of running the program, the born Local Champions will be able to develop this Research Station in the future.
