Developing the Potential of Bali's Digital Economy, Udayana University Collaborates with Institute of Technology Telkom Surabaya

Udayana University cooperated with the Telkom Surabaya Institute of Technology which was marked by the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding by the Rector of Udayana University represented by the Vice Rector for Planning, Cooperation and Information, Thursday (27/01/2022) which took place at Hotel Neo Denpasar. The Memorandum of Understanding was signed in conjunction with an Education and Technology Seminar with the theme "The Role of Education for Digital Talent Development in Building Bali's Economy" which took place on Thursday (27/01/2022).

Vice Rector for Planning, Cooperation and Information Prof. I Putu Gede Adiatmika conveyed in accordance with the direction of the President of the Republic of Indonesia Joko Widodo that we all must prepare to enter the digital era of transformation. One of the digital transformations is how we prepare ourselves for economic development through the digital economy. Through this collaboration, it is hoped that Udayana University together with IT Telkom Surabaya can continue to work together in the context of developing the Balinese economy through the Tri Dharma of Higher Education.

With this digitalization, of course, our students must be prepared to be able to participate in the development of the Bali Kerthi Economy program which was initiated by the Governor of Bali. The signing of the Memorandum of Understanding between Unud and IT Telkom Surabaya will complete the implementation of cooperation in the context of forming digital talents who are expected to play an active role in building the Balinese economy.

This seminar activity also presented speakers from the Faculty of Engineering, Uadyana University, Dr. Ir. Lie Jasa, M.T., and four other resource persons Luh Made Seriarningsih, S.Kom, MAP. from Disdikpora Bali Province, Kadek Yota Ernanda Aryanto, S.Kom., M.T., Ph.D from Ganesha University of Education, Dr. Tri Arief Sardjono, S.T., M.T. from IT Telkom Surabaya, and I.B Putu Sandhi Yudistira from PT Telkom Indonesia.
