New PTN Student Admissions in 2022, LTMPT Account Registration for Students Starting January 10, 2022

In the LTPMT Press Release, (4/01/2022) it was stated that the mechanism for New Student Admission (PMB) in 75 Academic State Universities (PTN) for Undergraduate and D4,11 State Islamic Religious Universities (PTKIN) and 39 Vocational State Universities (Polytechnics) State) through the National Selection for State Higher Education Entrance (SNMPTN) and the Joint Selection for State Higher Education (SBMPTN) have started to be socialized starting December 1, 2021 by the Higher Education Entrance Test Institute (LTMPT). SNMPTN is a selection based on academic grades only or academic grades and other achievements determined by the PTN at the cost of a full government subsidy. SBMPTN is the selection of new PTN student candidates based on the results of the Computer-Based Tubs Exam (UTBK) only, or the results of the UTBK and other criteria determined jointly by the PTN.

The 2022 SNMPTN begins with LTMPT Account Registration for Schools and Students through the LTMPT Portal page https://portal.ltmpt.ac.id. In contrast to 2021, the LTMPT Account Registration activities for Schools and Students in 2022 do not coincide in order to give schools the opportunity to register and fill out the PDSS. LTMPT Account Registration for Schools starts on 04 January 2022; while the LTMPT Account Registration for Students begins on January 10, 2022. The deadline for Account Registration for Schools and Students is the same, namely February 15, 2022. Followed by the determination of eligible students by the School from January 04 - February 08 2022. Filling in the PDSS starts January 08 - 08 February 2022. Registration for SNMPTN on 14 - 28 February 2022. Announcement of SNMPTN results is scheduled for March 29, 2022.

The 2022 UTBK-SBMPTN uses a computer and the costs are borne by the participants and subsidized by the government. The stages of participating in the 2022 SBMPTN begin with LTMPT Account Registration on 14 February -17 March 2022. Specifically the mechanism and socialization of the UTBK-SBMPTN will be carried out until 15 April 2022. UTBK-SBMPTN registration on 23 March -15 April 2022. Implementation of the UTBK-SBMPTN carried out in two waves at 74 PTN UTBK Centers. Batch 1 on 17 - 23 May 2022, and Wave 2 on 28 May - 03 June 2022. In 2022, the UTBK-SBMPTN will not be held during the fasting month. Announcement of the Selection Results for the SBMPTN Pathway is scheduled for June 23, 2022. The download period for the UTBK certificate is on June 25 - July 31, 2022.

The government will provide educational assistance for students from economically disadvantaged families through the Indonesia Smart Card (KIP) College. For this reason, students must apply for tuition assistance for the KIP Tuition scheme first.
