At the End of 2021, Udayana University Releases 474 Graduates at the 145th Graduation

Denpasar - Udayana University (Unud) held the 145th Graduation Graduation which took place in a hybrid combination offline and online with the main location point being in the Nusantara Room, Agrocomplex Building, Sudirman Campus, Denpasar, Saturday (11/12/2021). The number of graduates released during this period was 474 people, thus the current number of alumni of Unud is 106,775 people.

Vice Rector for Academic Affairs Unud Prof. Dr. Ir. I Gede Rai Maya Temaja, MP in his report said that the graduates this time consisted of 2 Diploma programs, 113 Professionals, 27 Specialists, 227 Bachelors (S1), 40 Masters (S2) and 15 Doctors (S3). Of all the graduates this time, 125 of them won the title with Praise or Cum Laude. In this period, 56 graduates were scholarship recipients from 13 scholarship providers. The graduates this time were dominated by 257 women, while only 217 male graduates. In terms of academic achievement, the GPA of female graduates is better than that of male graduates, where the average GPA of female graduates is 3.70 while the average GPA of male graduates is 3.68. The average study period for women is 7.9 semesters while the study period for men is 7.3 semesters.

Referring to Permenristekdikti No. 59 of 2018 concerning Diplomas, Competency and Professional Certificates, Degrees, and Writing Methods. PIN is only given to graduates of Diploma, Bachelor, Master and Doctoral levels. Udayana University has started to implement the National Diploma Numbering (PIN) since the 139th graduation period in 2020. In this 145th graduation period, out of 474 graduates who were declared eligible PIN were 280 people. The total number of PINs that have been obtained so far is 3,428 or 55.9 percent of graduates during the seven graduation periods. For those who have not obtained a PIN, they still use the diploma number issued by Udayana University which is registered in the Higher Education Database (PDDIKTI). "In the future, I hope that all graduates who are required to have a PIN can get 100 percent already using a PIN in the numbering of their diplomas," said the Vice Rector.

While the Rector of Unud Prof. Dr. Ir. I Nyoman Gde Antara, M.Eng., IPU in his speech said that for more than a year, various Tridarma Higher Education activities at Udayana University prioritized online methods, and gave permission for offline activities selectively. This is done to maintain a balance between the level of performance achievement and the level of safety. Considering that there are many graduates who need a diploma to continue their education as well as the need to apply for jobs and report to the institution where they work, by prioritizing safety and protection for the entire academic community and education staff, and of course also for all graduates, without reducing the meaning, the University continues to carry out the graduation procession. for graduates who have met the requirements.

Udayana University also continues to move and transform into a Global Campus, Comfortable, Healthy, and Safe, and has a quality educational ecosystem, so as to produce professional candidates who are intelligent, superior, with character, and contribute positively to regional and national development. Various accelerations of repair and development of facilities and infrastructure, acceleration of professors, improvement of the competence of educators and education to support the implementation of the Tridharma of Higher Education at Unud.
