In the Context of Strengthening Local Human Resources for Tourism, TCI Unud Holds Chinese Language Training at DTW Tanah Lot
The Tourism Confucius Institute (TCI) of Udayana University provides assistance through Mandarin language training in the context of strengthening local tourism human resources at the Tanah Lot tourist attraction (DTW), Tabanan Bali. This mentoring activity is carried out for a month starting from October 8, 2021 to November 5, 2021.
This training activity was carried out face-to-face with a total of 30 participants from various divisions under the management of Tanah Lot DTW. This activity was carried out for 1 full month with the distribution of training schedules 2 times a week with a training time of one and a half hours centered in the wantilan around Tanah Lot DTW.

I Made Sendra, M.Si as the Indonesian Director of TCI Udayana University in his speech that the purpose of carrying out Mandarin language training activities for tourism actors in Tanah Lot is none other than to improve language skills, especially Mandarin, considering the number of tourist arrivals from China who visit DTW Tanah Lots were very high before the Covid-19 pandemic.

The implementation of this training activity is expected to be practiced directly by the staff to every Chinese tourist who comes to DTW Tanah Lot so that it will be able to improve the quality of service to every Chinese tourist who visits DTW Tanah Lot," explained Made Sendra after the Closing event Friday (5/11). /2021).
Meanwhile, the Operations Manager of DTW Tanah Lot represented by Mr. Agus Tika as Head of the Personnel Division of DTW Tanah Lot in his speech that the management in the process of offering cooperation, especially in providing Mandarin language training is highly anticipated because this training is certainly very beneficial for quality improvement. services to staff who will provide services to tourists from China who will visit Tanah Lot DTW.

At the end of this activity, the process of making a video about Tanah Lot DTW information was carried out using Mandarin, played by the Chinese training participants. In the training process, the participants were very enthusiastic about participating in this activity because Mandarin was a new language for them to learn and had a high level of difficulty. In the teaching and learning process, especially during training, more emphasis is placed on communication skills, especially in relation to daily conversations that are often used by tourism actors in Tanah Lot DTW when providing services to tourists.
