Rector of Unud Attends Saraswati Sewana Literature Book Launch

Rector of Udayana University Prof. I Nyoman Gde Antara attended the Book Launch held by the Puri Kauhan Ubud Foundation at the ISI Denpasar Film and TV Production Study Program Laboratory, Wednesday (20/10/2021).

The Chairperson of the Puri Kauhan Ubud Foundation, Anak Agung Gde Ngurah Ari Dwipayana in his speech said that the three books presented by Puri Kauhan Ubud are (1) the Saraswati Sewana Pemarisudha Gering Agung Literature Book which contains selected works and nominated works by the participants of the Saraswati Sewana Literary creation event. (2) Sarira's Mulat Book for Bali Rise of Pabligbagan in a Pandemic Period which contains a series of virtual publications organized by the Puri Kauhan Ubud Foundation during the Covid-19 pandemic, and (3) Mai Mebasa Bali Book which contains the works of the winners of the Mai-themed cartoon strip competition. Balinese Mebass. Mai Mebasa Bali is an activity organized by the Puri Kauhan Ubud Foundation which campaigns for the use of the Balinese language to the wider community.

Meanwhile, the Rector of ISI Denpasar, Prof. Dr. I Wayan "Kun" Adnyana said that the launch of this book is an awareness movement to restore literature as a mother as well as the upstream of our daily practice ethos in managing society and also advancing this republic. We cannot simply be complacent by the obsession with the advancements offered by technology, most of which we import, but we neglect to set our feet and imagination on the literary treasures that are the building of the imagination consensus about the Indonesian nationality.

On this occasion, the signing of the MoU between the Puri Kauhan Foundation in Ubud and the Indonesian Institute of the Arts in Denpasar was also held.
