LPPM Unud Together with Faculty of Engineering Universitas Brawijaya Held Training on Microplastic Sampling and Analysis in Waters and Sediments
The Research and Community Service Institute (LPPM) of Udayana University in collaboration with the Faculty of Engineering, Universitas Brawijaya held an online Sampling and Analysis of Microplastics in Waters and Sediment Training through the Zoom application, Monday (20/09/2021). This training activity is intended to improve the competence of lecturers and the quality of graduate students in conducting surveys and analysis of microplastics on samples of sediment and water. The implementation of this training is part of the Merdeka Campus Competition program which will be held from 20 September 2021 to 15 October 2021.
Head of Center for Remote Sensing and Ocean Sciences (CReSOS) I Gede Hendrawan, Ph.D in his report said that this activity was held in collaboration with LPPM Udayana University, Faculty of Marine Affairs and Fisheries Unud, CReSOS and the Faculty of Engineering Universitas Brawijaya. This training is carried out offline and online where the offline implementation starts from September 27 to October 15 2021 and the online implementation starts from September 20 to September 23 2021 and October 6 2021.
Dean of the Faculty of Engineering, Universitas Brawijaya, Prof. Ir. Hadi Suyono, ST, MT, Ph.D., IPU., ASEAN.Eng in his speech said that the implementation of this activity is in order to strengthen institutions, where each institution is required to meet the Key Performance Indicators (KPI) including the number of collaborate and the number of students who do MBKM. However, the most important thing in implementing this activity is to prepare students to have superior competencies and capabilities.
Dean of the Faculty of Maritime Affairs and Fisheries Unud Prof. Dr. Ir. I Wayan Arthana, M.S. on this occasion, welcome the collaboration between Udayana University and the Faculty of Engineering, Universitas Brawijaya. The Dean of the Faculty of Maritime Affairs and Fisheries Unud hopes that in the future this collaboration will be stronger because in the current era the University is required to collaborate, where the more collaborations are carried out, the greater the University will be.

I Nyoman Suarsana, M.Sc. in his speech said that the Merdeka Learning Campus Independent Program (MBKM) provides broad opportunities for students to hone their abilities and talents to go directly into the world of work. This training activity is very important to improve competence not only for lecturers but also for students.
