Faculty of Humanities of Unud Holds International Seminar on Austronesian Language and Literature IX
The Faculty of Cultural Sciences, Udayana University held an International Seminar on Austronesian Language and Literature IX 2021, Friday (10/09/2021). This seminar is a routine agenda that has been held every two years since 1999.
Starting this international seminar, Ni Putu Luhur Wedayanti,SS,.M.Hum as the Chair of the Committee said that the 2021 Austronesian Language and Literature IX seminar took the theme of Studying Austronesian Language and Literature in the Micro Linguistics and Macro Linguistics and was attended by 125 speakers with 92 papers from Germany, Japan, China, and Indonesia.
Dean of the Faculty of Cultural Sciences Dr. Made Sri Satyawati, SS, M. Hum, in her speech said that this seminar is a routine activity organized by the Masters and Doctoral Study Programs of the Faculty of Cultural Sciences, Udayana University which aims as a training facility for S2 and S3 students to compile papers, and then present them at various scientific activities. The Dean hopes that participants can understand the development of linguistics both at home and abroad.
While the Vice Rector for Academic Affairs Prof. Dr. Ir. I Gede Rai Maya Temaja, M.P., who in this case represented the Rector of Udayana University, said that this international seminar carried out one of the missions of becoming a World Class University. This academic activity is very important and needs to be continued with development in various fields of study including linguistics and literature. This is where Udayana University as a higher education institution must be present and show its role in contributing ideas to solving the nation's problems in accordance with the objectives of the Tri Dharma of Higher Education.
