Unud Together with the Badung Health Office Hold a Workshop on Strengthening Quitting Smoking Services in Badung Regency
In order to support the strengthening of the smoking hazard control program on health and the Smoking Quitting Clinic services in health services, the Dean of Medical Faculty Unud Prof.Dr.dr. I Ketut Suyasa, SpB.,SpOT(K) attended and gave a speech at the workshop "Strengthening Smoking Stop Services in Badung Regency" which was held at the Ramada Hotel, Kuta-Badung. This workshop was held in collaboration with the Badung District Health Office with the Udayana Center for Research and Development Center Udayana University. This activity aims to formulate strategies and follow-up plans in an effort to strengthen smoking cessation services in order to create a healthy community in Badung Regency.
Dean of FK Unud Prof.Dr.dr. I Ketut Suyasa, SpB., SpOT(K) in his speech expressed his great appreciation for this activity in an effort to provide smoking cessation services. The Dean of FK Unud hopes that this workshop can provide enlightenment, how are efforts to provide smoking cessation services, and it is hoped that this activity will provide benefits and be meaningful for all of us even in the midst of a pandemic situation.
This event presents resource persons who are competent in their fields, including (1) dr. I Nym Gunarta, MPH (Head of the Badung Regency Health Office) with the topic "Clinical Services for Quitting Smoking as a Solution to Stop Smoking for the Community in Badung Regency, (2) Dr. Rohani Budi Prihatin, S.Ag. M.SI - (National TC Activist and Researcher) DPR RI) with the topic "Tobacco Trends in Indonesia and Control Policies", (3) Dr. Putu Ayu Swandewi Astuti, MPH. PhD (Chairman of Udayana CENTRAL) with the topic "Development of a KBM Strengthening System in the Health Service System in Badung Regency" and the moderator is Dr. Dr. I Ketut Suarjana, MPH.
This activity was also attended by the Director of Hospitals in Badung Regency, Head of Regional Management of IAKMI Badung Branch, Head of Public Health Centers in Badung Regency, Doctors on Duty at Puskesmas and Persons in Charge of PTM Puskesmas.
Dr. Putu Ayu Swandewi Astuti, MPH. PhD as the Chairperson of Udayana CENTRAL on this occasion said that the strengthening of smoking cessation services could be carried out optimally by integrating various services and programs at the Puskesmas as well as secondary services, the capital being the integration of tuberculosis prevention programs, non-communicable diseases with smoking cessation efforts. This will have an impact on improving public health, especially in this COVID-19 pandemic situation.
