FK Unud Holds Noise Awareness Student Ambassador Workshop
In commemoration of National Education day and International Noise Alert Day, the Department of ENT-KL Health Faculty of Udayan University / Sanglah Hospital in collaboration with BEM FK Udayana University held a series of events held via zoom meetings for medical faculty students from universities throughout Indonesia and the non-medical faculty of Udayana University to make students the main pillars of noise prevention which is now a major problem in the world of health, especially in the ENT-KL field, Saturday (01/02/2021).
According to the Dean of the Faculty of Medicine, Udayana University, Prof. Dr. dr. I Ketut Suyasa, Sp.B, Sp.OT (K), this workshop was held as an effort to educate the public about noise disturbances that can affect health. Moreover, during the Covid-19 pandemic, the learning process was mostly carried out online which could cause noise disturbances due to the high use of technology.
The speakers who attended were speakers who were experts in the field of hearing including Prof. William Hal Martin from the National University of Singapore, Prof. dr. I Wayan Suardana, Sp.THT-KL (K), dr. Tjandra Manukbua, Sp.THT-KL, MH, dr. Komang Andi Dwi Saputra, Sp.THT-KL (K), dr. Eka Putra Setiawan, Sp.THT-KL (K).
The enthusiasm of students regarding self-awareness to prevent noise made this event have participants reaching 212 people who came from various universities and the active role of each participant made the activity very interesting.
The event was closed with the handing over of clothes to the noisy-conscious student ambassadors who in this case were represented by Udayana University medical faculty students and handed over directly by the Deputy Dean for Student Affairs and Information, FK Unud Dr. dr. I Made Sudarmaja, M.Kes.
