FK UNUD Holds Blood Donation and Plasma Convalescent Donation

In the context of the 59th Family Body, the Faculty of Medicine, Udayana University held a blood donor and plasma donor convalescent as a form of synergy between academics, TNI, bureaucracy and the profession, Sunday (21/2/2021) at the Cakra Vidya Usadha Building, FK Unud, Sudirman Campus, Denpasar.

Also attending this activity were the Commander of the Regional Military Command IX / Udayana along with the ranks, the Chairperson of the Bali Region IDI, the Head of the Bali Provincial Health Service, Kalaksa BPBD Bali, the Chair of the Senate of Udayana University, the Chancellor of Udayana University, the Deputy Chancellor for Planning, Cooperation & Information, the Dean of the Faculty of Medicine, Chairperson of the FK Senate, Deputy Deans, Head of Departments, and Koorprodi in the Faculty of Medicine.

Commander of Kodam IX / Udayana Major General TNI Maruli Simanjuntak in his remarks said that our main task now is to make everyone understand that Covid-19 cannot be avoided by anyone. Panglima believes that everyone has a role in the midst of the Covid-19 pandemic, both a role to handle or a role to prevent, so that it does not become a career or carrier.

Udayana University Chancellor Prof. A.A Raka Sudewi expressed his appreciation for the implementation of this Convalescent Blood Donation and Plasma Donation activity. The Chancellor said, Udayana University, especially the Faculty of Medicine, is ready to procure human resources in the ICU field in handling Covid-19, and hopes that the collaboration between Udayana University and the Commander of Kodam IX / Udayana will continue to be improved.

While the Dean of the Faculty of Medicine, Prof. Udayana University I Ketut Suyasa believes that in the midst of the Covid-19 pandemic, what we can do is cooperation. Without cross-sector cooperation, it is certain that you will experience fatigue in dealing with the Covid-19 pandemic. The Dean invited to increase the synergy between academics, TNI, bureaucracy and the profession because it is a shared responsibility for the nation and state.

On this occasion, a book by the staff of the Faculty of Medicine UNUD was also handed over to the Pangdam IX / Udayana, namely the Village and Traditional Village-based Covid-19 Handbook, the Convalescent Plasma Therapy Handbook and the Vaccination Guide Leaflet.
