Carrying the theme of 'Communication Without Borders', FISIP COMICS Unud with Bali Deaf Community Introduce BISINDO
Communication Science Student Community (KOMIK) in collaboration with Bali Deaf Community in the socialization and training of Indonesian Sign Language (BISINDO) at Niti Mandala Renon Field, Denpasar on Sunday (6/10). This activity with the theme "Communication Without Borders" is one of a series of Communication Vaganza, which is the celebration of the 8th anniversary of Communication Studies.
The first speech was given by the Coordinator of the Communication Studies Program, Dr. I Gusti Agung Alit Suryani, S.Sos., M.Sc. which also opens activities. As a Deaf youth community, Bali Deaf Community conducts BISINDO basic training such as alphabet recognition, greeting, and self-introduction. Participants who attended were Communication Studies students and the general public who were very enthusiastic about studying BISINDO. The Chairman of Bali Deaf Community, Gede Ade Putra Wirawan, S.Kom, was very pleased to be given the opportunity and be able to socialize, teach, and share your knowledge. "So everyone understands that communication is important, Sign language is equal too, nothing is different."
As explained by Putu Resta Wira Prananta as the head of the committee, that this event was aimed at making Deaf friends and listening friends able to communicate with each other and be aware of the importance of learning sign language. "Hopefully in the future, there will be ongoing collaboration between Communication Studies Program and BDC and in the end can introduce sign language, all rights and deaf culture to the public.
